Q) How does your business complement the HPSP?
A) Dycer Constructions has been a long term supporter of many different sports across the south east; we believe the High Performance Sports Program is another quality extension of what’s offered in our region.
A chance to be associated with the growth of individual athletes and sports men and women is an exciting thing for a long term local company. It's a pleasure to be a part of student's progress through the various levels of their development, and hopefully on to the national stage.
Q) What does it mean to you to support students wishing to pursue a career in sport?
A) As a local family and company to be able to play a small part in students following their dreams gives us a good feeling. I have had the privilege of being associated with some AFL players, high level basketballers, soccer players, cricketers, through financial support, sponsoring clubs and programs as well as coaching at grass roots level. It’s a thrill when they succeed at the next level.
Q) What are the reasons you support HPSP?
A) As outlined above, Dycer Constructions believes in the local community and believe sport is a key ingredient to a better community. Our company has been the major sponsor of the Tenison Titans for about six years, so being involved in the HPSP is an extension of our ongoing support for Tenison Woods College. Our company has worked very well with the school, building the Pam Ronan Centre, Early Learning Centre, Gymnasium rebuild and other projects. The Dycer family are proud to have children currently attending the college.
Tenison Woods College respectfully acknowledges the Boandik people are the First Nations people of the Mount Gambier South Eastern region of South Australia and pay respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, past, present and emerging.
